Here is a wonderful rarity! This is a record made by folk musicians Prentice and Tuttle in 1970.
Perhaps the name isn't familiar to you. It isn't to many people. I love this music, although I was only perhaps a year old when this was made.

A little about me, since this is my first post here and you are probably wondering what a "Porn Baboon" is. I created the profile when I was trying to break into adult affiliate marketing. I no longer am involved in that line of work, but the profile is fun, so I kept it. Also, my sister and my cousin and I, who were involved in the affiliate marketing adventure together, met some of the very cool Team Netherworld people during that time. I love that we have been asked to be part of this team!
My real name is Pol. My nickname is Poe because I have always enjoyed writing poetry and stories. I am Vietnamese-American, born in 1969. I work in various areas such as construction and handyman work and also some caregiving work, anything I can to pay the bills. It's hard for me to hold down a job with specific hours because of my mental health issues. I have been lucky to be able to freelance.
I love all sorts of music, but my passion is stuff from the 60's and 70's, particularly psychedelic rock, prog rock, and folk rock. This is possibly because my father loved this sort of music and collected many rare albums along the way. When I was young, we would go to festivals. He still enjoys festivals, but with his health these days, we are not able to go as frequently.
I would like to leave some thoughts for my friends with larger bodies who have struggled with eating disorders. I know I have never had this issue, and so you may think I have no room to speak, but I hope you will hear me. The myriad of problems attributed to big people and used as an excuse to treat you with scorn by rude people who do not know better are suffered by my father, a tiny Vietnamese man.
My father stands barely five foot seven. He weighs barely 120 pounds. He has adult onset (type 2) diabetes. He has heart problems. He has painful joint problems. His blood pressure is high.
He only likes to eat a few certain things, such as fish, fruit, certain vegetables, and rice. He rarely eats sweets except for the occasional almond cookie. His favorite sweet treat is figs or dates. If I bring home fig newtons, he eats a couple of those after dinner. He loves to drink green tea at every meal.
Where some people have trouble lowering weight, he has trouble keeping his weight up. Sadly, he is also beginning to show signs of cognition loss. He is not a well man.
My point here is I know how some of you have struggled, being belittled for something which is not so much in your control, although it is fashionable to make you think your body is all your fault.
From what I have observed, people are as they are. Some of us cannot gain weight if we try. I am one of these. Others cannot lose weight no matter what they try, including some rather unhealthy methods such as using stimulant drugs and herbs, and certainly making themselves unhappy through deprivation and hating themselves.
These thoughts have some personal concern to me, as my sister has suffered with eating disorders due to a fear of being ridiculed for tending to be plump.
Life is too short for such things as hating one's body. I know you might think me a hypocrite saying this, considering that I do not have a "problem" body. However, looking at my father, I wonder if I am looking in a mirror at problems I may have in 20 years.
Let us not worry about such things as having a perfect body, which is impossible. Let us enjoy sharing our favorite music and other passions, and let us love and be kind to each other.
