The Smiths: What She Said

Anthony Green (Circa Survive): She Loves Me So

The quality of the video is admissibly sub-par, but I kind of like the rawness of this live performance.

Hipster Guy/Hipster Girl

I stumbled across this and thought it was really cute and funny. Young Reese and her friend Dae wrote and performed this little tune just for fun.

WHEREIN HIPSTER GUY GOES FOR HIPSTER GIRL

(Original song by Reese Lansangan and Dae Lee)

VERSE I:

I'm gonna start wearing funky jeans and a graphic shirt

Wear fake plastic frames till my eyes hurt

A strap on my shoulder, a camera on my hip

Doing all these things to get a taste of your lip

I will try my best to be your kind of hipster

A designer's at the prime of the artist's ladder

Run my actions on Photoshop

But you don't need it since you make my heart go stop

CHORUS:

Serif, sans serif, with it without

Words I can make you feel good, without a doubt

Minimalist triangle, minimalist square

My heart is hanging on an anchor point and you don't even care

VERSE II:

Forget Arial, Futura, even Myriad Pro

Remember MS Comic Sans are just used by hoes

I don't really care much for Helvetica

But the only thing that matters is I think I like you

I'll buy you new black frames and a couple shirt

I know that you are not Korean,

But we're hipsters, that's how we flirt

Coffee or tea, just as long as we

Take a picture of you, your drink and me

CHORUS

OUTRO:

A B C, typography

Is the obvious solution to our newfound chemistry

1 2 3, yes you and me

Let's give birth to a new font family

I like you Bold, Black, Ultrathin

You can be kind of Condensed

And even Hairline thin (x infinityyy)

So lets get down and start our kerning

And adjust our leading till the early morning (x 4)

August Burns Red: The Blinding Light

Lyrics:
The fear is what shelters them.
It's what shades their eyes and muffles their ears.
Keep them inside.
Lock them up in a closet known as home.
In here no one can find them.
In here no one can fill them with filth.
They were born with the silverware clenched in their teeth, and so help us, they will die with it too.
None of them will make anything of themselves.
They don't need their own lives.
The ones we have planned will work just fine.
The world is a terrifying place.
Without us they will never make it.
They will never reach their potential.
They will never ever surpass us.
Without our watchful eye, they might just leave us behind.

Young Guns: Beneath the Waves

Dearly beloved
we are gathered here today
to lament the loss of honesty
to the art of saving face
of vanity and opacity
a generation lost beneath the waves
loose lips sink ships
we're all going down

We're in the throes of vertigo
higher is impossible
sink like a stone
let it all go
higher is impossible

the oceans rise to break the bow
and I find peace within in the sound
of water rushing in
so bid farewell to all you know
take your place way down below
we'll sleep beneath the waves
loose lips sink ships
we're all going down

We're in the throes of vertigo
higher is impossible
sink like a stone
let it all go
higher is impossible
loose lips sink ships
we're on our way down

so slowly we all drift down
all our kings are dead now.

I've Run Away to Join The Fairies

Lyrics:

I've run away to join the fairies
This mortal world has lost its charms
I'll be a flower for their garden
Never to hold you in my arms

They will enchant me and enslave me
And make of me their fool for fun
Upon my head they'll place an ass head
More or less as you've always done

I loved you like I was your baby
Although you couldn't even fly
And though you held no eldritch secrets
All too enthralled to you was I

In yonder forest grows a toadstool
To make the mind of man grow small
They will mistake me for their changeling
I wasn't human after all

PSA: Respiratory Distress in Children

If your young child is having problems breathing, it is imperative that he or she is seen by a medical professional as soon as possible.

Adults experiencing respiratory distress can compensate for fairly long periods of time, depending on the severity of distress.

Babies and children who have not yet reached puberty cannot compensate during respiratory distress as an adult can. Respiratory distress can very quickly decompensate to respiratory and cardiac arrest.

Here is a list of the main signs of respiratory distress.

Oral Sex!

Now that I've got your attention...
This is both funny and informative.
My main problem with oral sex is the fact that I'm not flexible enough to do it to myself!

Ramones: Poison Heart

No one ever thought this one would survive
Helpless child, gonna walk a drum beat behind
Lock you in a dream, never let you go
Never let you laugh or smile, not you.

Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.

Making friends with a homeless torn up man
He just kind of smiles, it really shakes me up.
There's danger on every corner but I'm okay
Walking down the street trying to forget yesterday.

Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart ... yeah!

You know that life really takes its toll
And a poet's gut reaction is to search his very soul
So much damn confusion before my eyes,
But nothing seems to phase me and this one still survives.

I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.
a poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.
