Hi, I'm Gunnar. I'm 50 years old, and like the others here, I write. I'm a woman. (Gunnar is usually a male name in the United States.) I'm still trying to figure out this game of life. I've had some very bad periods of darkness. Hopefully things will look up before I get too old!

I'm a Pagan of sorts, though I don't belong to a coven or any such thing. I'm very fascinated by ancient religions, particularly Norse mythology. I wish I looked like the picture below, but I am not even close!

It's my party and I'll whine if I want to. Bring me some damn cheese to go with it! I freaking love cheese. It's better than most everything

And I know there are people who are worse off than me so don't tell me not to whine because there are people worse off than me.

By the end of the 2 wk pay cycle, it's pretty slim pickins, food-wise. Drink Ensure for breakfast/lunch & have scraped leavings for dinner.

Most of my $ goes for housing. Make too much (before taxes) to qualify for subsidized (not that I'd want to live there.)

I did qualify for some Pell grants but I still have around $16,000 in student loan debts. Son will have lots more going for advanced degree.

It's difficult being marginalized--not impoverished enough to qualify for any kind of aid, but having nowhere near enough $ to do it urself.

I raised one kid and tried not to screw him up too bad. He turned out pretty damn good in spite of having me for a mom!
