DJ Motley Mick suggested I check this out because I like death metal. It's powerful to be sure, a talented lesser known band. I tend to prefer my death metal a little more on the sludgy side, and this is a little more on the thrash side. A good suggestion though, Mick, thanks!

Sometimes it isn't a matter of better or worse, it's just a different expression and both are great.

By the way, the Thin Lizzy version of Whisky in the Jar is my favorite version. This is an old Irish folk song. Thin Lizzy was not the first group to perform it.

It's fine if you prefer the hard rock and metal version of these songs. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that those versions are "better."
