Snow Ghosts: And the World Was Gone

You said you'd wait forever
But I blinked
And the world was gone
You wade through the water
Slowly your hands grow numb
I wish you felt me falling
I wish you'd watched over me
You said you'd wait forever
But I blinked
And the world was gone
And the world was gone
And the world was gone

I run through your head
Loud with a nightmare
Brushing your skin with my breathing
Turn out the light
And every nightlight
Run you can run you can run
I blink and the world was gone
I blink and the world was gone
I blink and the world was gone

You said you'd wait forever
But I blinked
And the world was gone
You wade through the water
Slowly your hands grow numb
I wish you felt me falling
I wish you'd watch over me
You said you'd wait forever
But I blinked
And the world was gone
And the world was gone
And the world was gone

HIM Wicked Game 2000 Version

I prefer the 1998 video version. It had a magical quality to it. This has an interesting little story line, but the mystical qualities are traded for a sleazy strip joint setting. Perhaps its a little too close to reality. I've never seen the appeal of strip clubs.
Some people pointed out that the stripper is not particularly attractive in a conventional sense. She is older and somewhat haggard looking. I believe this is deliberate. The song, while possessing a beautiful melody and haunting lyrics, does not portray a particularly pretty side of love. It's about heartbreak and becoming jaded.

Five UN Friday

Click the Big Five to play along.

I read a poem about unrequited love, and when I saw the Five on Friday prompt, I thought of several songs that have a word beginning with "un" in the title. So today I present Five Un Friday for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

Helloween: A Tale That Wasn't Right

A great power ballad from Helloween. This classic metal band is so underrated. I love their style!

Rainbow Eyes

This is kind of an unorthodox use of the Blue Monday prompt. Blue is a color of the rainbow, and this is a melancholy (hence, blue) song.

Barbara Weathers: Our Love Runs Deep

Our Love Runs Deep

Oh,
My dear love has been stolen
He has been fooled by disguise
In a trance, he thought he saw beauty
Surrounded my an overwhelming light
But it was a lie
A thief who came in night
She has come from darkness Now
I must go to his rescue
I shall never leave him alone
Ever

I hear him calling
Oh, but ever so softly does he weep
But he'll never die
For I will find him soon
All because our love runs deep I
Feel the pain of his heart aching
Just as I know he feels mine
For our hearts beat at the same time
And one should never separate this kind

Of love you cannot find
Except for deep inside
That very good and special place
And the beat of his heart grows
Weaker by each and every hour

Yet and still,
I hear him calling
Oh but ever softly does he weep

But he will never die
For I will find him soon
All because our love runs deep

Oh and now I must go to his rescue
I'll never leave him alone Ever

I hear him calling

I know that he needs me by his side
But he'll never die for I will find him soon
All because our love runs deep

Black Sabbath: Warning

A favorite, underrated Black Sabbath tune.

Oh Donna

He wrote this song for his real life girlfriend. They were going to get married when she graduated from high school. Then he was killed in the plane crash that also claimed Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper. He was only seventeen. He was afraid of flying.

Smoky Mountain Morning

Good Morning, Friends. Gonna start your day with a picture and a song. I'm not here, and I didn't take this picture. But I wish I was, and I wish I did! --Mo

This song has always put chills up my spine. Love me some Ronnie Milsap!
