DJ Scary Carrie's Saturday Pick

Come listen to This Wild Life's album "Concrete" via the playlist.

This duo hails from California. Their sound is reminiscent of sitting around with friends, playing some tunes about real life. Their lyrics are gritty, their sound is smooth. I'm really enjoying their fresh, no-bullshit approach to music.

You'll find no auto tune, flash, hype, or fame-whoring with This Wild Life. What you will find is just simple, good, honest music at its best.

Netherworld Cinema: Ouija Movie

Might be a good popcorn movie.

Their "seance" was a total set-up. Communication with the spirit world is rarely that melodramatic in reality.

As for Ouija boards, I had a couple of really scary experiences with them. You usually don't get friendly spirits through that mode of communication.

Netherworld Cinema: Twin Town

Excellent low-budget Welsh gem starring the superb Welsh actor Rhys Ifans.

Two sides of the same town are featured in this drama. The lives of both upper and lower class are connected by a seedy underbelly.

Strong language, violence, drug references, brief nudity.

Off color humor and language warning for those who prefer to keep it clean.
