I can see why the person who uploaded this turned off the comments. You Tube comments tend to attract a special breed of lowlife.
I can understand why people might have something nasty to say about John Phillips. The unfortunate truth is that he coerced his own daughter into a ten-year incestuous relationship, and that's a major ick factor. So, screw you, John, for the fact that whenever I listen to your songs I'll know in the back of my mind about the awful, disgusting thing you did.
Then there would be the lot trotting out the bullshit "ham sandwich" tale regarding poor Cass Elliott's untimely death. Cass actually died from heart failure. She did not choke on a ham sandwich. Cass is guilty of nothing more than being a big woman in a society that believes everyone should be a size 0. I always think of Cass fondly when I hear the songs, and think it's too bad that she died so young.
